Silverwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This big tree grows up to 61 meters (200.1 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, knobbly, dark gray bark, and inside, the very hard wood is silver.

The branches are short and slender, with dozens of twigs covered with thick bunches of small, yellow needles. The needles themselves are flimsy.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, brown aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It has impressive regenerative properties.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
