Pineleaf Shrubby

Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 16 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, straight stems covered in delicate, cracked, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is dark brown.

The branches trail down across the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of tiny, perforated, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are light red on the edges and light brown at the center, robust and smooth.

It produces many giant, hazel flowers with long, tapering petals. They fall easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like roses. In late spring it forms smallwhite, spiky-shelled seeds.

It coexists peacefully with other plants.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
