Burgundyvine
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 31 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has dozens of long and flexible, straight stems covered in very thick, smooth, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.
The branches are short and thin that and are covered with copious amounts of large, very thin, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of burgundy that gradient shifts to dark brown at the top, sturdy and leathery.
In early spring it produces clusters of small, brown flowers with cylindrical shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a weak scent that smells like cherry.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
