Emerald Tail Grass

This giant, emerald grass grows up to 37 feet (11.3 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in sparse patches that are strong and tough and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, turquoise tail.

During the mid-summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of giant grains.
