Trailbloom

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 17 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a slender, angular trunk covered in delicate, rough, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the very dense wood is light brown.

The abundance of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with copious amounts of small, circular leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are gray with ashy blue tips.

In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of small, drab red blossoms with perforated petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a soft scent that smells like vanilla.

In early autumn it produces , oblong fruit. The leathery ashy blue skin is tough and inedible, and the soft silver flesh is bitter and very dry. The drab orange seed is large and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
