Copperleaf
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 34 feet (10.4 meters) tall. The wispy stem is copper, and is covered in brittle muted red spines. The stocky leaves are black and purple. Large amounts of them grow on narrow, light grey branches that are short, thin and wispy. The leaves are light, and easily come away when pulled.
It is very slow growing, taking 7 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with alternating petals of pink and white, with a violet central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 42 petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like lavender.
The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the dull blue flesh is rough, and the green sap is thin.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It can survive a long time without water.
