Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This big shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for around 21 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous sturdy, angular stems covered in silky, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is silver.
The branches are short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of miniature, broad, flat, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are amber at the bottom and slate with light blue splotches at the top, durable and fuzzy.
It produces a thick sheet of giant, hazel flowers with 7 triangular shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an intense scent that smells like freshly washed clothes. In mid-summer it forms medium-sizedbeige, tough-shelled seeds.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
