Turquoise Flower

Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized flower grows up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. Its gray-green stem is very thin, and the huge, emerald leaves are light muted yellow or turquoise on the underside and are very thin with wavy edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

A single giant flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 14 cm (5.5 inches) wide, with petals that are grey on the edges and light grey at the center. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.

It has a weak scent that smells like an ocean breeze, and it has lots of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to butterflies.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
