Slate Creeper

This enormous creeper is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,531 feet (466.6 meters) and growing as high as 312 feet (95.1 meters).

It takes 49 years for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3.5 feet (1.1 meters) and are smooth and slick.

The long, tapering, clammy leaves reach up to 3.8 feet (1.2 meters) in length. They are found in slate, florescent green and silver varieties, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces lots of average blue flowers.
