Yellow Marsh Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is overwhelmingly hardy; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release hundred of spores.

The stems are covered in large spikes.
The bark, wood and leaves are edible.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
