Violet

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 46 feet (14.0 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is green, and is covered in many flexible slate spines. It has a curved, thin, white trunk atop a slender mess of ridged, exposed roots. The branches are thin and ashy green or gentle green and are short, rigid and upright.

The irregular-edged, circular leaves are violet and bronze. They are delicate, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 15 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid blood red petals decorated with yellow lines and a silver central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 28 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has an intense scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The caudiciform's skin is tough, the purple flesh is rough, and the olive sap is thin.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
