Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 100 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous wide, straight stems covered in paper-thin, smooth, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is yellow.
The branches are very long and slender with dozens of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of huge, very narrow and elongated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally yellow, resistant and sticky.
In late spring it produces bunches of tiny, light grey flowers with 5 cylindrical shaped petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like lavender.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
