Cyanthosucculent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is yellow, and is covered in many rigid cyan spines. The rounded-edged, spear shaped leaves are solid lime or olive, with blood red zig-zags. Thick bunches of them grow from the base in random directions. The leaves are sturdy, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with black petals that gradient shift to sky blue on the outer edge. The central disk is amber grows at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 46 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. It has an overpowering scent that smells like leather.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the dark orange flesh is rubbery, and the olive sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
