Violet Spikegrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)This small, black grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The perforated stalks grow in small clumps that are flimsy.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, violet spikelet.
During the mid-autumn, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of large grains.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
All parts of the creeper are edible.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
