Redstem Grass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short, red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thin stalks grow in thick clumps that are sturdy and flexible and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, bronze flower.
During the mid-autumn, it produces lots of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.
It is suitable for making strong rope
All parts of the shrub are edible.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
