Blueleaf Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 295 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a sturdy, twisting trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the hard wood is pine-coloured.
The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with large amounts of waxy, huge, 2 pointed leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are blue on the sides and intense green at the center.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, caramel seed pods.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
