Peachleaf Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 625 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a slender, angular trunk covered in paper-thin, knobbly, light gray bark, and inside, the very hard wood is black with white speckles.
The branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with very large amounts of soft, large, finger-like leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either peach, or brown with muted red splotches.
In late summer it forms tiny, cream, shelled seeds.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
