Yellow Petal

Flower type: Biennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized flower grows up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. Its gray-green stems grow in bunches of 7 and are thick with a curved tip, and the miniature, yellow-green leaves are perforated with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 43 cm (16.9 inches) wide, with petals that are brown at the sides and yellow at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 51 curved petals. They are sturdy.

It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like rotten eggs, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.
