Coppervine

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its green stem is very thin, and the tiny, grey and beige leaves are dark emerald on the underside and are very narrow and elongated with rounded edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Many giant flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with petals that are generally copper; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is largely flat with several tightly layered round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like varnish, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
