Bronze Petal

This giant flower grows up to 15.3 feet (4.6 meters) tall. Its red stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the large, dark green leaves are long, narrow with serrated edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

2 to 8 large flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 37 cm (14.6 inches) wide, with petals that are bronze on the underside and light brown on the top. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 50 petals. They fall easily.

It has a fairly strong scent that smells like something putrid, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind and is ignored by most insect species.
