Bronze
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 25 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a branched, straight trunk covered in very thick, knobbly, brown and grey bark, and inside, the very hard wood is black.
The numerous branches trail down across the ground and are covered with very large amounts of miniature, spear shaped leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are solid slate with pale blue streaks.
In early spring, it produces a handful of large, brown blossoms with many layers of petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have the faintest scent that smells like petrol.
In late autumn it produces tiny, oblong fruit. The clammy bronze skin is thick and sour, and the very soft beige flesh is sweet and very juicy. The white seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
