Bluebell

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is thin, and the tiny, silver leaves are slender, pointed with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Hundreds of giant flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with petals that are turquoise in the center, blue in the middle and intense blue at the edges. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 57 curved petals. They are sturdy.

It has a powerful scent that smells like skunk spray, and it has copious amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to butterflies.
