Coppervine

This massive bine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,199 feet (670.3 meters) and growing as high as 260 feet (79.2 meters).

It takes 8 years for the hazel and copper stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 4.1 feet (1.2 meters) and are flat and wavy.

The broad, flat, smooth leaves reach up to 3.0 feet (91 cm) in length. They are blood red on the sides and bright green at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of large silver flowers.
