Copperwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized tree grows up to 40 meters (131.2 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, angular trunk covered in delicate, waxy, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is copper-coloured.

The abundance of branches trail down towards the ground, with thousands of twigs covered with small amounts of tiny, moss green needles. The needles themselves are sturdy.

In late summer it produces large, gold, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
