Turquoisevine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 23 feet (7.0 meters)0.

It takes 2 months for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are flat and wavy.

The spear shaped, waxy leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are found in pale blue, light brown and hazel varieties, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of large turquoise flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a few small seed pods.
