Blueberry Succulent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This short leaf succulent grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is burgundy, and is covered in brittle orange spines. The stumpy leaves are pastel blue and turquoise. Handfuls of them grow on thin, aquamarine branches that are short and thin. The leaves are hardy, but do not detach easily.
It is slow growing, taking 33 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are caramel on the underside and black on the top, grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with 10 raised round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like freshly washed clothes.
The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the deep green flesh is rough, and the azure sap is thin.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
