Turquoise

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 19 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, silky, brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is black.

The small handful of branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, thick leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are peach at the bottom and gentle red with azure zig-zags at the top.

In early spring, it produces bunches of small, orange blossoms with 3 pointed petals. They are sturdy and have a weak scent that smells like vomit.

In late autumn it produces , long, tapering fruit. The sticky turquoise skin is tough and inedible, and the crunchy beige flesh is bitter and sticky. The red seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
