Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 45 feet (13.7 meters) and growing as high as 45 feet (13.7 meters).

It takes 3 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The broad, flat, soft leaves reach up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) in length. They are found in red, green and pink varieties, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces hundreds of average lilac flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of tiny seed pods.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
