Umbra Pine

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 191 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of slender, slanted stems covered in cracked, brown bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches are long and thin that and are covered with copious amounts of miniature, very thin, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either purple, or black with azure dots, delicate and sticky.

It produces bunches of medium-sized, vibrant orange flowers with umbrella-shaped petals. They detach easily and have a faint scent that smells like sugar. In midwinter it forms largeblood red, winged seeds that float and land far away.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
