Burgundy Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized tree grows up to 38 meters (124.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 603 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, slanted trunk covered in thin, ridged, burgundy bark, and inside, the very light wood is dark brown.
The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small amounts of crispy, huge, wide leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are orange-yellow with cyan tips.
In late summer it forms tiny, cream, shelled seeds.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
