Bloodvine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This huge vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 544 feet (165.8 meters) and growing as high as 249 feet (75.9 meters).

It takes 40 years for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 3.6 feet (1.1 meters) and are smooth and slick.

The broad, flat, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are grey and blood red, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many average yellow flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces plenty of tiny seed pods.

The bark is frequently covered in moss.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
