Blueleaf Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This big tree grows up to 74 meters (242.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 445 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in thin, smooth, brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is white with black speckles.

The sparse patches of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with small bunches of waxy, tiny, sickle shaped leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue on the edges and blood red at the center.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of tiny, cyan blossoms with slender, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a weak scent that smells like onion.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, beige aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
