Emeraldvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 43 feet (13.1 meters) and growing as high as 69 feet (21.0 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 13 months for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The asymmetrical, rough leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are a shade of lime green that gradient shifts to green at the top, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of giant crimson flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of large berries.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
