Caramelberry
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 187 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The stems are covered in large spikes.
