Goldenleaf Succulent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 35 feet (10.7 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is gold, and is covered in copious amounts of flexible yellow spines. The lumpy leaves are lime and blue. Copious amounts of them grow on thin, moss green branches that trail down across the ground. The leaves are sturdy, but easily come away when pulled.
It is very slow growing, taking 34 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are orange on the edges and sky blue at the center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with 11 widely spaced narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like citrus.
The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the muted yellow flesh is soft, and the cyan sap is thin.
