Coppervine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 7 feet (2.1 meters) and growing as high as 17 feet (5.2 meters).
It takes 4 months for the copper stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and slick.
The 2 pointed, smooth leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are a shade of moss green that gradient shifts to dark green at the top, and have jagged edges.
During late spring, the bine produces hundreds of average grey flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of small berries.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
