Cyanfruit Tree
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This huge fruit tree grows up to 71 feet (21.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 33 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a sturdy, twisting trunk covered in fine, rough, light gray bark, and inside, the light wood is light brown.
The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of huge, thin leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are cyan on the sides and silver at the center.
In early spring, it produces many medium-sized, pink blossoms with many layers of petals. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like old books.
In late summer it produces small, triangular fruit. The hairy white skin is thin and edible when boiled; it is sweet and salty, and the crunchy cyan flesh is salty and sticky. The hazel seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
