Copperwood
Tree type: Deciduous (Evergreen - keeps its leaves all year round)This modest-sized tree grows up to 44 meters (144.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 486 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, slanted trunk covered in wrinkled, silver bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is copper-coloured.
The tangled mess of branches are very long and slender and are covered with large amounts of soft, huge, fan-like leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are green with green tips.
In late summer it forms giant, blood red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
