Emerald
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This modest-sized caudiciform grows up to 49 feet (14.9 meters) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is emerald, and is covered in thousands of flexible amber spines. The bulbous, crimson trunk can grow to as much as 49 feet (14.9 meters) in diameter. Its gray-green branches are long and thick.
The wavy-edged, very narrow and elongated leaves are a shade of yellow-green that gradient shifts to caramel at the top. They are delicate, but take little effort to detach.
It is fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid white petals decorated with caramel lines and a brilliant blue central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like onion.
The caudiciform's skin is thick, the orange flesh is slimy, and the cream sap is thin.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
