Hazelactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized cactus grows up to 56 feet (17.1 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 4 sickle shaped stems. Each stem is gray-green, and is covered in thousands of fine, hazel, hair-like spines.
It is very fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with blood red petals and a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of 9 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like warm cookies.
The cactus's skin is thin, the purple flesh is rough, and the pink sap is thin.
It is difficult to cut through.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
