Copperwood
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This average-sized tree grows up to 25 meters (82.0 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 196 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in hard, ridged, black bark, and inside, the soft wood is copper-coloured.
The tangled mess of branches are short stubs and are covered with sparse amounts of covered in fine hairs, tiny, circular leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of light grey that gradient shifts to deep purple at the top.
In late summer it forms small, slate aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
