Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This average-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 30 feet (9.1 meters) and growing as high as 475 feet (144.8 meters).
It takes 17 months for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are rough and gnarled.
The fan-like, smooth leaves reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) in length. They are found in bronze, pastel purple and dark brown varieties, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces copious amounts of large azure flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of large fruits.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
