Copperwood
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 484 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a branched, angular trunk covered in wrinkled, dark gray bark, and inside, the light wood is burgundy.
The large clumps of branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with very large amounts of smooth, miniature, thin leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are copper and bronze.
In late summer it forms large, cream, tough-shelled seeds.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
The leaves and petals are often used to make tea.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
