Flamebrush

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 11 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous stocky, crooked stems covered in rough, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches are short stubs that and are covered with small bunches of small, sickle shaped, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are aquamarine and vivid orange, tough and smooth.

It produces lots of small, intense yellow flowers with flame-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a powerful scent that smells like pot-purri. In midwinter it forms tinybronze, spiky-shelled seeds.
