Lilac
Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This modest-sized flower grows up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. Its green stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 7 and are thick and straight, and split into dozens of branching stems halfway up, and the miniature, yellow or lilac leaves are long, tapering with rounded edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Each stem splits 6 to 12 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 22 cm (8.7 inches) wide, with petals that are either green or light grey, with a yellow center. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. They are very delicate.
It has an overpowering scent that smells like a man, and it has very little pollen, but can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.
