Magenta Spikegrass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The finger-like stalks grow in small clumps that are light and frail and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, magenta spikelet.

During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of giant grains.

It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It is suitable for making strong rope
