Clinging Pine
Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in thin, ridged, light gray bark, and inside, the soft wood is white with black speckles.
The numerous branches are short, rigid and upright, with thousands of twigs covered with large amounts of huge, moss green needles. The needles themselves are sturdy.
In late summer it produces small, green, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
