Copperpetal

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)

This short flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is thick and straight with a curved tip, and the giant, copper leaves are 3 pointed with smooth edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Dozens of tiny flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 15 cm (5.9 inches) wide, with yellow petals and a yellow center. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of 15 widely spaced, narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like onion, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
