Twistvine
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 234 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a wide, curved trunk covered in fine, knobbly, brown and grey bark, and inside, the dense wood is burgundy-brown.
The sparse amount of branches are long and slender and are covered with handfuls of clammy, small, very thin leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of copper that gradient shifts to olive at the top.
In late summer it forms small, dark grey, shelled seeds.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
The pollen is extremely toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is suitable for making strong rope
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
