Aqua Willow
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This large tree grows up to 74 meters (242.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 67 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, straight trunk covered in silky, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the hard wood is mahogany-coloured.
The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with large amounts of fuzzy, small, wispy leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are turquoise and pale green.
In early spring, it produces thick bunches of small, sky blue blossoms with 9 circular shaped petals. They detach easily and have a faint scent that smells like rotten egg.
In late summer it forms large, bronze, winged seeds that float and land far away.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.
